A Heart for Missions

If God has given you a heart for missions, you will understand what I am about to say, even though my words will be inadequate.
Please, please, please pray for our friends in Honduras. They fight a fight every day that we will never understand or truly realize just to meet their basic needs. It is a wonder to me how anyone can know that situations like this exist in the world and are able to turn a blind eye to it. How can human suffering not touch you and weigh on you without you realizing you need to help? God needs you to reach out and be His hands, His feet, and His love to these people. If you are reading this blog and you know Brett and I, you know that He has pierced our hearts for the people of Honduras, our friends.
To read a touching story that is written better than I could ever put together, please go the Kluge's blog (link to right) and read Melissa's entry dated August 21. Several of you may find the faces in the pictures familiar. This is just one of many, many families we met and fell in love with while serving in San Miguel this summer. Jenny & Karen's blogs also journal their lives while they live and serve God in Honduras.
And I urge you to prayerfully consider the ministry God is calling you to and to boldly serve Him there, wherever it is!

Well said my dear friend...just read a book today that you need to read, think it will resonate with your heart so much. It's called "The Debt" by Angela Hunt. Parallels some of this and some of what we have talked about in the past month. It way spoke to my heart. You still thinking of coming to visit maybe in November?

Miss and love ya.
